Retòrica, informació i metàfora is a study about the language used by the means of communication from a linguistic perspective. It reviews the models that provide rhetoric, pragmatics and cognitive theories, and applies this analysis to press heads. Due to the ability the metaphor has to provide inferences over our conception of the world, it is the best one to go deeper into what the author calls "the black box of social thinking". Conclusions and reflections about this phenomenon give raise all through the book to different questions about communication and about journalistic information, such as objectivity or impartiality.
