Check the first pages The social, economic and environmental challenges of recent decades can explain the growing concern of the education system to use methodologies that can train students to face all these challenges. In this context, the service-learning methodology (SLL) is becoming a pedagogical benchmark that allows connecting with the civic commitment to improving the context of students. The book analyzes this methodology, as a framework where other methodologies and didactic approaches are applied, where students are active protagonists of their learning process. Analyzing the methodology followed during six academic years in the subject Social and Political Marketing, taught at the Universitat Jaume I, the book corroborates the value of SLL as a tool to relate different stages and educational levels with agents (NGOs, other non-profit entities, public administrations, etc.) linked to a specific social cause. In addition, the book shows how art becomes a valuable instrument of awareness in each of the social causes covered by the subject.
