The world of the print culture in the isle of Cuba in its colonial period: from the repossession of La Habana from the British Empire in 1763 up to the dawn of the first armed conflict for its Independence in 1868, seems rather interesting. The work reflects an accurate analysis of the evolution of printing press and of its most relevant publications in the island, interrelated with the different political, economic, social and cultural processes confronted by the West Indian territory during the period covered.
