On the establishing of the New Spain Vice-royal, the typical European ceremonial settled in the American continent. However, the Vice-royal capital city, never celebrated the festivity with the presence of the monarch, in such a way that his special envoy, the Vice-royal, reached an enormous symbolic and ceremonial relevance. The present work analyzes the triumphant journey that Vice-royal made from Veracruz to Mexico, from 1535 up to 1821, as well as the public revenues in the connecting cities, and the ephemeral architectures which were erected to lavish them.
