The story of those teachers of the thirties who committed themselves with passion to change the school, to renew the atmosphere of the classroom and to widely open the windows of the walls in order for life bustling around to enter strongly, is the content of this book. The interest of those admirable teachers to educate some voluntary citizens is what conducted them to be given a voice and freedom of expression by means of printing and school magazines that thanks to it were created. These elements helped to build a communication and interconnection network, as nowadays in the Internet era, that would break the secular isolation of the numerous rural schools and that would put in contact among them the new graduates that the Republic was sending forth. "Mestres de la Impremta" definitely tries to recover the memory and restore from it what has been in dormancy around seventy-five years.
