This brilliant translation of Reyes García narrates the story of the relationship between the original author, Marina Tsvietáieva, and the actress Sofia Holliday (Sóniechka) during 1918-1919, times of a civil war, and in Moscow as setting. In 1937, Tsvietáieva went into exile to France when she knew of her friend's death.
